Welcome to the (Calculus) Online Community!

So... What is an "Online Community" and what does it do? This online community is a virtual meeting place where students can post contact information or find contact information for other students; it also is a place where students can post questions or comments in a discussion forum or meet online in a chat room.

Umm... Why would anyone want to do that? The rule of thumb at a university is that students should spend three hours studying outside of class for every one hour of lecture. Experience has shown that students are more successful when they spend some of that time studying together with their colleagues in the course. This online community is simply a tool for you to contact your colleagues in the course in order to set up a study session or even just to post questions and answers for each other. We hope you find it useful.

Great! How do I get started? Create an account (if you haven't already), enter your own contact information for your directory entry, look for other students that would like to meet outside of class and send them an email. Also, stop by the discussion forum to see if there are any interesting postings, or to post one yourself. You might even find an occasional posting from an instructor or TA.
